Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-09-05

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or using Civora's free tier at app.civora.dev ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Civora is — and what it is not

Civora is calculation-assistance software for structural engineers. It performs reinforced-concrete, geotechnical, and masonry design calculations, and generates calculation reports, drawings, and bar bending schedules based on the inputs you provide.

Civora does not replace the licensed engineer's professional judgment.The engineer using the Service remains solely and fully responsible for:

  • the overall design and its suitability for the specific project, site, and jurisdiction;
  • independently checking, verifying, and validating every input and output before relying on it;
  • compliance with the building codes, standards, and regulations actually applicable to the project (Civora's supported codes are described in Section 3 below, and do not constitute legal or jurisdictional advice about which code applies to a given project);
  • anything the engineer stamps, seals, signs, or submits to a client, contractor, or regulatory authority.

Civora makes no warranty of fitness for any particular structure, site condition, or jurisdiction, express or implied. The Service is provided to assist a licensed engineer's own calculations — it is a tool, not a substitute for engineering judgment or for review by a qualified professional.

3. Scope and limitations

Civora's calculation engines have a specific, disclosed scope. Not every module is branched for every building code, and some modules use established geotechnical or traditional masonry methods rather than a reinforced-concrete code at all. Known engine-level limitations and exact per-module code coverage are disclosed on ourCode Coverage page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. It is the engineer's responsibility to review that page and confirm a given module's coverage is sufficient for their project before relying on its output.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Civora and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to use of the Service — including any structural design, drawing, or report produced using it — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Civora's total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

5. Subscription billing, cancellation, and refunds

Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly cycle through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record. You may cancel at any time from your account; access continues through the end of the billing period already paid for, with no partial-period refund for the time remaining unless stated otherwise below.

Refund policy: refund requests are handled per the policy configured with our payment processor at the time of your purchase. Contactsupport@civora.devwith your order details for a refund request.[Draft note: this clause must be confirmed against the actual refund policy configured in the Lemon Squeezy dashboard before publishing — do not state a specific refund window (e.g. "14 days") unless it is verified to match what is actually configured and enforced there.]

The free tier (currently 3 full calculations per visitor) requires no payment information and is not a paid subscription.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
